Feline Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is a devastating disease for affected cats. Furkats has been active in testing for HCM since 1999. Echocardiograms were done at Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, Cardiology Department. Currently there is a gene that has been identified for which HCM can be detected with a DNA Test. Ever since the DNA test was developed Furkats have been tested. I am publishing the results of these test to this web site.
